Dr. Angela Miller built a career positively impacting students, adult learners, and international communities. Her concepts ensure that all members of society are afforded opportunities to make contributions aligned with today’s shared needs. Angela’s military experiences included being one of the first women to complete basic training on Tank Hill at Fort Jackson. Behavioral Science Specialist training at Fort Sam Houston Medical School, and asked to participate in a new Communications training program at Fort Gordon. Angela’s first duty assignment was in Stuttgart, Germany, for a remote project that entailed introducing satellites and digital computer training to decode classified messages – a whole new world to a very young soldier.
These roles provided her with critical thinking, problem-solving, and situational decision-making skills at a young age. Angela recognized her trainability levels as limitless, so she reframed herself via Troops to Teachers. As an educator, she monitored instruction curriculums and services provided for English Language Learners at military and embassy schools abroad.
Additionally, she was a volunteer instructor for foreign adults transitioning to America as military or embassy spouses and an online graduate professor of Education Law and Teaching of Learning Strategies.
Notably, her many years abroad in multiple foreign countries allowed her to work with invested stakeholders to build proactive communication and educational programs that will provide excellent opportunities for young ladies and women veterans.
